Canon EOS 40D in the Kruger Park

I’ve spoken about my excitement about the Canon EOS 40D a couple of times, and all I can say is: WOW!!!

I’ve had it for 2 months now, and I think it’s AMAZING!

I must admit, I am still getting used to it, learning all it’s features and functions, but I thought I would share a few photos that I took with the EOS 40D so that you can see exactly how it handles.

The photos below were all taken in the Kruger National park game reserve here in South Africa. I used the Canon EOS 40D with a Canon 70-300mm lens.

The best thing about using a Digital Camera is that you can take as many photos as you like (within reason and Memory Card capacity), and then delete photos afterwards. Of course, that is IF you can bring yourself to delete the photos…

I must admit, I added a little sharpening to some of the photos below, and added some contrast. There was NO sun the ENTIRE trip, so everything was very gray.

And for an amatuer like me, it was too much to handle for the first ever “photo shoot”. :-)

I used Google’s “Picasa2” software to add the sharpening and contrast, and I use “Picasa Web” to host the photos (and create the slideshow below). I can fully recommend it!

Anyway, let me know if you like the photos… Compliments are most welcome, if they’re due :-)
